How can you buy things online with it?

You don’t buy things. You do offers (put in fake information), and you get money. Then you get a check with the money that you earned at the end of the next month. (i.e. earn $20 in May, get the check at the end of June).
To get extra money, you can connect CashCrate with online shopping things like Apple iTunes. Click Shopping on your CashCrate account page and Click Apple iTunes. Follow some instructions, and whenever you buy a song from iTunes, you get 5% of what you spend! Cash Crate has other offers like that where you can buy online and get a percentage back to your CashCrate account.
Also, you can use points to get prizes. For instance, 600 points gets you a $30 gift card. To earn points, you have to do offers. Every cash offer is 1 point, and there are some point offers, too.
